My role model/inspiration: My mum is my inspiration as she gave me her tough cookie gene, so I know I can achieve anything I put my mind to even when it's hard.
A running barrier I overcame: My personal barriers to running have been through injury. Determination and pure stubbornness got me through and I completed four weeks of light training as soon as the physio signed me off.
My advice for new runners? Tell those little voices in your head to be quiet when they say it's too hard, you can't do it, give it up.
